About the Next Narrative Boston Finals

Come see these incredible students perform as they compete for the chance to move on to the National Finals in NYC in May 2025!

The students spend four weeks with our talented teaching artists taking a deep dive into text analysis and discovering the true meaning behind the words on the page to bring them alive in their performance. Each student will perform the monologue of their choice, with themes ranging from family to identity and more.

My Next Narrative experience was unforgettable. I came into the experience a bit nervous because I have never been the best at competing, but I quickly realized it was about so much more than that. My mentors and peers would constantly push me to continuously grow as an actress and I was taught valuable skills that I still use in my acting career today. This was one of my favorite experiences by far and I will always be super grateful to the Huntington for supporting me through the whole process and keeping in contact to support to this day.”

“Learning that a monologue is performed is much more than just a monologue. It is a person telling a story and it is vital to understand why each word is said, each phrase, and each detail which I was not familiar with before, so I was so glad to have learned that from the wonderful teachers.”
